Not a bad idea. He does seem to think they have it better there than the average American.

Micheal moore is a retard. The only reason he got "the best healthcare in the world" in cuba is because he was making a documentary. Any other "Jose Schmo" in Cuba recieves maybe less than a quarter of the actual treatment that he and the people who he brought with him could do. Do you know that in Cuba they use Herbal medicine as a valid form of treatment for diseases because they can't supply actual medication? Also, Cuba may have a infant mortality rate that is comparable to most developed countries but it also has the some of the highest abortion rates in the entire world. I'm not saying that as in abortions are wrong or anything, but if they find anything wrong with the baby, they neutralize it so that they don't have to deal with a problem later on.

Gitmo residents aren't war criminials. They are people who have not been charged with anything being held indefinately. Yes some are guily of crimes but some are not. Regardless due process isn't being served because of a loophole. It's disgusting.

However, to answer your question, although I am sure Mr. Moore was being dramatic to make a point, the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay have shelter, clothes, food and free medical care. Which is more than many Americans have.

It is definitely better to be a US citizen. No amount of health care, even if free, can equal the freedoms you enjoy when you aren't in a prison.

Well living in freedom is always better than being incarcerated.

Then again are white christian americans incarcerated for commiting war crimes. They certainly wernt after Vietnam. Maybe Moore believes that being incarcerted is better than living a lie. The US were hypercritical to invade Iraq and allow Saddam to hang. Maybe they should get rid of thier own war criminals before moving on to other countries. Maybe he realizes the American dream is failing, it isnt the land of liberty and freedom, its harder for a forigner to get into the US than ever. The US had a racist government in power alot longer than many of its European counterparts and racism is sitll very apparent in the US, if not towards 'blacks' then towards muslims.

His point was that prisoners in Guantanamo Bay get better health care that U.S. citizens, more specifically, he claims that 9/11 workers who are now sick as a result of their work at the Twin Towers site, get worse care in the U.S. with our American insurance companies than prisoners in Guantanamo Bay. He is trying to point out the hypocrisy in our health care system, he is not claiming that it's better to be one or the other. I really can't believe you thought that?! Your reasoning is very poor.
