To me the first one. The reason that you are liking the second one is that he makes you feel safe. The first one, treats you like you want to be treated and is kind. I mean with time the first one can become somewhat macho, and there are unknown strengths within a dude when his girl is being harmed...trust me. I would say based on all of the things that you have given us the first one seems like the better choice.

You shouldn't date someone based solely on their looks. However, from what you described I would go with the one who makes you feel like you are special. He sounds like a very sweet person. It doesn't matter whats on the outside or how he looks, it matters what's on the inside and who will you give you full attention and love you. It's not my decision, its's yours. Go with the first guy, he's much better, the macho man is sketchy, so date the first guy, and if it doesnt end well, ask out the second guy, that way you arent missin out.
