What types of jobs pertaining to the entertainment industry can I possibly get?

Go to a college of the arts. There are plenty of places you can go to. Do the online search of places in your area. I do know that most of these places, if not all, do ask for high grades, so I hope you have that. There are almost no ways to get a job in the entertainment industry without having some kind of connections, which you will find while in school. Try to find a lower job in a movie theater or animations studio. Maybe that will help you. When you go for an interview, mention that you need SOME mornings off so you can audition. I'm sure if you find the right job, they will understand. Either that or get a part time job that would have you working after 5pm. You need to make sacrifices if you really wanna make it. Look at at the wanna-be-actors living in L.A. They wanna make it in the business and MOVED THERE to have some chance to do it.

Maybe look for smaller theatres or other entertainment businesses that might be hiring box office staff or assistants. They will understand the needs of the field. You also might look into related businesses like lighting or sound equipment businesses, makeup or costume stores, or even bookstores! Check and see if any of the libraries or bookstores in town need a "story lady" or someone to dress up as book characters. Several of the actors in my university's theatre department have gotten work this summer as Harry Potter characters for the new book promotion.

It's difficult to do both.

Make a decision to act or get a day job.

You can't do both. One has to go!

Actors don't worry about things like that, they know what they want to do and do it.

It's not something one thinks about if one seriously wants to be an actor.

i'd love to do the same thing but the thing is you need connections....having a degree don't mean **** if u dont connections...ppl who don't have degrees got jobs there..i heard you have to meet ppl at those business parties..so probably get involved in major film festivals or something and do volunteer work but if ur financially struggling now as far as housing oh man thats gonna be tough! id probably stay away if u dont want to sacrifice
