Mustang V6 flowmaster?

im going to put a flowmaster exhaust on my V6 1998 mustang i was going to buy a cat back but that will cost around $400. so i am going to just split the pipes so i have dual but im only going to have one muffler. so i want the exhaust to sound deep and loudish. andy one know what muffler i should get to get that deep loud sound ( dont say borla because the guy refuses to put that on. and none of this V8 Bullsh!t)

Update:

the spliting the pipes will with one muffler will only cost me about $160

Update 2:

remember this is just 1 muffler not 2. so i need the loudest deepest sound i can get =)

Flowmasters sound horrible. Mustangs are out now because of the sound flowmasters give them.

First of all to guy with the V8 comment there are tons of V6 cars out there that will blow away anything you own plus most stock V8 cars so why don't you think before saying something so dumb.

As for the guy with the Civic all I can say is grow up. The guy never said anything about racing. He wants to make his exhaust sound better. At least with his car it's possible. A Civic is going to sound like a wet fart no matter what you put on it for exhaust.

I vote for the dual exhaust with Flowmasters as well. You should be able to get this done for less then $400. It's true your car is dual exhaust until after the convertor pipe and Flowmaster makes a kit to finish it out the rest of the way. Excellent fit and sound. I've heard V6 Mustangs with this kit and they sound great. Save a little more and do it right or shop around. Trust me you'll be glad you did.

first off your car is already set up for dual. you have 2 sets of headers and 4 catalytic converters that eventually go into one pipe! i put flowmaster dual exhaust on my 98 v6 mustang and it sounded great! if you go with flows get the 40 or 50 series, i cant remember! but if your doing what you say you are just replace your stock muffler with a flowmaster and put a larger tip on there, that will increase the sound too! please no gay *** tips, get something that'll fit the car

Why not just buy 2 mufflers? It shouldn't cost 400 dollars to get exhaust put on it.

I had dual exhaust put on mine and everything from the headers back only cost me 200. I didn't have a crossover either.

If the guy refuses to put borla on go somewhere else and get it done.

Way to go, getting the V6 mustang!!! You should get a nice pink dress to go with the weak exhaust note you gonna have!!! You know what will give your car a deep note? Putting a V8 in it !!!

i have a flowmaster dual exhaust system on my mustang...but flowmaster makes it in a single exhaust also...mine sound very very deep and hollow..it makes it sound powerful and it also gives it a good HP boost. I LOVE MINE
