I save my cans and give then to our local pet shelter. They in return use the money to save and care for animals. Or, I cash them in and give the money to them. It's not a large amount of money but every little bit helps and it's not going to make or brake me if I don't keep it. It makes me feel good knowing I am helping save lives with the little effort it takes to save a can. :) Try it and see if it don't make you feel good too.

My state doesn't have a bottle deposit on cans and bottles.
We save our cans and take them to a scrap yard to sell. The extra money usually ends up getting spent that same day on something for our kids.

Nope, that's a little too much like counting your chickens before they are hatched.
We just put the money in a special savings account.
