For US Citizens/Voters Only: Who besides me is fed up with the incompetence of our 2 political parties?
If so, what are we going to do about it? I've been a Democrat, and I've been a Republican. Both are worthless. Almost everyone in the Democrat and Republican party toes the party line in order to get support in their respective elections. In other words, you can't really vote for "the person" because most simply do what the party tells them to do. So, do millions of us band together and try to inflluence an existing 3rd party, or do we form a new one of our own? Using the Internet and all our contacts, we can reach millions. Who is with me?

Check out Ron Paul.
The guy is hated by the left and the right alike for not taking the party offers, he's much more libertarian than anything else and with good reason too.
I do wish people would actually look into political matters and not just listen to Micheal More who can't even make the connection that the crime rate has gone due to more guns being legally (not ILlegally) bought.
Americans these days are more like sheep than anything else, while the supposed lead sheep say that those with radical ideas are wolves ready to attack them once they are separated from the flock.

The two party system promotes the status quo. Despite what people say, they fear meaningful change. When candidates to the left or right of the mainstream run, they are not taken seriously. If I am in the center, then I need only attract a portion of voters from both sides of that center mass to win an election. James Carville and Karl Rove are masters at getting that extra 1 or 2% that a candidate needs through whatever means necessary.

I became fed up with it all last year, hence why I joined the Green Party. I believe that, while they're not perfect, the Green and Libertarian parties have enough common sense and decency that, were they to get into power, they would be able to reverse this destructive course the Democrats and Republicans have set us on.

Millions did just band together, they call their congressmen and said if you vote for this amnesty bill we will vote for your removal.
Americans are very lazy when it comes to politics. Freedom isnt free Men and Women are dying every day to preserve it, but we need to fight our very representatives who put lobbyist and special interest ahead of their own voters.
I think all lobbyist should be banned. The only lobbyist are the American citizen who pays taxes, spills their blood to defend this great nation. Not rich corporate greed.
I think we need a third party. I prefer a Conservative third party. Liberals are to wacko for me.

I'm not a voter, but I'll tell you this. You can live 100 times better in a third world country than you will ever dream of living here, with the money you have now, for the rest of your life. I know this from personal experience. Get the hell out of this hell hole.. forget about it. Politics are politics. History will take its course. Every country has their high-point. Every empire crumbles. Get out, live life. Life is too short to worry about this kind of crap.

It's time to clean house in Washington ! ALL party's are TOTALLY OUT OF TOUCH with the American people WHO PUT THEM THERE !
80% of the American people were against that "Immigration Bill", those bastards almost pushed it through. Had it gone through, it would be a very different country as you know it. It was WAY too close ! Nancy Pelosi is SENILE TOO ! What a Whack job ! How come Ted Kennedy is still alive ? Our man "G.W." is letting mexico tell us how to do things, we go over to Iraq, then do nothing ? WTF is going on ???? They're all NUTS !

Most are doing what the party wants them to, what they feel they need to do to get re-elected or to throw as much $$ into their districts as possible (to get re-elected).
That's one reason I admire John McCain.
I think one way we could solve this problem, is to work towards term limits. That way politicians won't spend 3/4 of their time working to get re-elected.
I'm thinking of ONE 6 year term for president.
Any thoughts?

I believe in everything you said however it is hopeless because most Americans will not get off their duffs and do something. We talk a great deal but do very little.
