Let me say this, I just went through this. My old cell company was bought out by Verizon. They only gave us 90 days to switch to the new service and a discounted phone. The discounted, free, phone was not comparable to our old ones. The new plans were awful compared to our old ones. The only trade off we found was better reception. One big issue is that if your contract runs out you might have to pay a big deposit. I have already seen it happen, no matter how long you have been with them. Be very careful since this is their 3rd switch.
