Should I accept this trade or not?
I would get Billy Wagner and he would get Dan Haren. This is a fantasy points league. Here are the following pitchers I have:
SP-Ben Sheets
SP-Dan Haren
SP-Dave Bush
RP-Brian Fuentes
RP-Derrick Turnbow
P-Doug Davis
P-Claudio Vargas
BN-Greg Maddux
I think I know what I'm going to do, but I'd like some advice.
My thinking was to not trade Haren. There have been some great answers already. Thanks.

NO WAY would you do this deal!!! Look bottom line.... Your only two good pitchers are Sheets and Haren. Haren was a nice suprise this year, but you can't trade him you need him more. He does more for you. Even if you get Wagner, do you think him and Fuentes will provide enough saves for you to win that category? No, especially in a points league. If I Were you I would keep Sheets and Haren and make over the rest of my team. Maddux would be the only player I would consider keeping, Fuentes I would trade for another good SP and the rest I would replace with free agents.

No, you can't afford that price. You need RP help, but your rotation can't absorb that hit.
With Haren playing the way he has, his value should be a lot higher than that. Dan Haren's not a top fantasy pitcher, he's more like the guy he's been the last three starts, but most people don't know that. I'm sure if you shopped him, you could get a decent closer and a reliable pitcher in return.

Well, based on the fact that you need closers, this is a fair trade. But Haren is doing much better than Wagner this year. I do expect Haren to fade in the second half, but not tremendously. I would try trading Maddux for a reliever.

Depends on what stats you get points for. If you get points for innings, wins, Ks, and ERA that is where Haren will get you points, that's 5 categories. Then say you get points for K's, ERA, and saves, that's where Wagner would help. You could go with a guy who can help in 3 areas, or keep the guy who can help in 5. I would keep Haren.
Or counter offer with a lower position player for one of their better position players, try to upgrade another position and see if that helps. Say you have John Buck from KC as your catcher, and he has Russ Martin or Victor Martinez, send the trade offer back with the pitchers and the catchers to see how bad they want to make the deal.
Hope that helps, and good luck.

Billy Wagner is great, I actually have him on one of my teams, but lets be honest haren is as dirty a pitcher as the scrubby beard on his face. I would def keep haren. Judging from your team is seems your looking to bolster your RP situation but I think that giving up Haren to do it might not be the right move. Check out free agents maybe, Matt Capps is a young promising RP, although he is on the Pirates which sucks. anywho good luck.

definately not. do not do this trade, dont trade haren for a closer that would be the dumbest thing that you could do. you do need some closers though as Fuentes is not a closer anymore and turnbow never was

you'd be giving up your best SP...try to deal down your rotation a little Sheets or Bush would be an acceptable option.

i dont think that is a fair trade. i think u shoulld try trading bush instead.
