Dental assistants, what is a typical day like for you at the office?

collect the records, prepare the tools for the clients for the morning on trays with the record cards, do stock check or pick up denture's from other clinic or whatever had to be done, bring in the first patient then assist the dentist in everything including choosing color matches and giving advice if he asks.pack up whilst the D is in next door with the other assistant doing another client. then I scrub tools and sterilize them. then prepare the room for next client with clean rap on everything and wash with Ethel and get the tray and bring the client in the D comes in and we go and do it all over again.....I had my own stock room and sterilizeing units and scrub room. we share a printing room but have two processes.....sometimes we had a second dentist on and use both rooms at once...........But that was 11 years ago now. I am a full time single mum of 4 that just works for a bit of cash part time in a network center. and my teeth all crumbled when I was pregnant so no hope of getting a job as an assistant again........thanks for bringing it all back.....I loved it........
