kanye west's Graduation or 50 Cent's Curtis???

kanye's will be better in terms of production, lyricism, and overall quality, but 50 will sell more..most people in the hip hop community(usa) know he lacks the street credibility he has built his career off of, but his fans in other countries, as well as some here who buy his music dont know that..i think its his street image that appeals to them.

Even though 50 lost alot of street creditability....it goes to show you how hip-hop has lost its luster. I totally go for Kanye because he has brought actual lyricism to the airwaves..50 talks about the same thing....all the time. We can all not deny because of what the major labels are doing to hip-hop (the constant "cookie-cutter" artist that just seem to talk about the same thing and seem to all have the same background[dope boys]) it brought him major sells. Now Kanye has great lyrics and production...but lets look at other artist that has the same thing and didn't get much creditability. Common, Talib Kwali, Dead Prez all have great lyrics and production....yet they didn't get the creditability they deserve. The controversy of Kanye when he spoke on Bush's tactics in Iraq gave him a new audience who probably never took notice of him first.

Fiddy is a new MTV mainstream rapper, and he's got the image to sell, you know, muscles, he's a gangsta (he was shot, big deal), and that's what hip hop, unfortunatelly, is selling. The image of a bad boy.

Just take a look at Snoop: when he was shot, his album Doggy style was success.

Kanye's got powerful yrics, good beats, 50 cent is loosing his progress in beats: Curtis is a low quality album.

Anyway, 50 only talks about money and violence, and Kanye is gaining experience through his latest albums.

Bottom line... crappy bullshyt rap sells. Inovative, creative, and thought provoking doesn't do well when it comes to rap. There are rear occasions when it does, but not often. Kanye is a musical genius, but people don't want to have to think when they listen to rap, so 50 will sell more.

Oh yeah, that Get Rich... album came along at the right time. There was pretty much nothing else out there when it dropped.

graduation... the only way 50 snitch sells more cds than kanye is if he beefs with young buck b4 it comes out and says he has a diss song on the new cd

Kanye's album will be better lyrically/content-wise, but 50's album will sell better just because of the nature of the market/advertising/his image, etc. It's such a shame too...

Kanye's album is gonna kill 50's, 50 will sell more cus he promotes it more than kanye does, and i know someone who got 50s cd, adn he a big fan of him and he say its kinda wak...so 50 Will sell more, but kanye gonna have the quality adn give the fans wat they paid for

hopefully Kanye's Graduation does well. He deserves it.
