Know of a great Tabouli recipe?
I'm wanting to make Tabouli for a family get together. I've made Tabouli before but want other ideas. Any suggestions?

1 cup bulgur wheat (#1, if you have a choice on the grind)
2 cups boiling water
2 bunches parsley
2 roma tomatoes
1 (6 ounce) can black olives, chopped
3/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup lemon juice
Pour boiling water over bulgar.
Cover and let sit until water is absorbed (time will depend on how fine the grind is).
To prepare parsley, wash, pull leaves off the largest parts of the stem, discarding the stems.
Spin or pat the leaves to remove excess water, and chop finely.
Dice tomatoes.
Combine bulgar, chopped parsley, diced tomatoes, and chopped olives in large bowl.
Whisk together olive oil and lemon juice.
Pour dressing over other tabouli ingredients and mix well.
Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.

Tabouli
Don't leave out the allspice! It gives it a great flavor.
For authentic-tasting tabouli, use olive oil, but people following a fatfree diet may use one of the substitutes mentioned.
Serves 4-6
3/4 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cracked wheat or fine bulgur
1/2 cup minced parsley
1/4 cup minced mint leaves
1/2 cup finely chopped green onion
1 tomato, diced
1 cucumber, seeded and diced
3 tablespoons olive oil OR oil substitute (fatfree Italian dressing, liquid from cooking chickpeas*, or reduced vegetable broth)
2 tablespoons lemon juice, or to taste
1 tsp. sea salt, or to taste
Pepper to taste
Pinch allspice
Pour boiling water over the cracked wheat, cover, and let stand about 20 minutes until wheat is tender and water is absorbed. Add the chopped vegetables and toss to mix. Combine oil or substitute, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and allspice. Add to wheat mixture and mix well. Chill. Serve and enjoy.

My wife makes a Tabouli using quenoa instead of bulgar wheat. Quenoa is supposed to be a "super grain" with very high nutritional value.

Ingredients are; fresh parsley,green onion,tomato,lettuce,wheat,lemon juice,vegetable oil,and salt.The secret of it tasting better is how you prepare the vegtables,most people tend to use food processor to chop up the veggies,but i recommend doing that manually with a sharp knife instead.There is no cucumber,or mint in tabouli
