How do I collect local yeast from the air?

I have heard that it is possible to collect yeast which floats around in the air which is suitable for cooking. I am looking for specific instructions on how to go about doing this, or a web site which will explain it. Thanks!

I'll give you a website that discusses "wild yeast." You don't actually collect it. Rather, it enters into a reaction with flour, water, honey or sugar, and maybe other ingredients (depending on what method you choose). You then feed it to keep it going. To find more websites, what you're looking for is a "sourdough starter." You'll find lots of discussions about it. Getting the process going is longer than just adding in packaged yeast, but many people are very successful with it.

    Here's the site:

I think someone might be having a little fun at your expense. Never hard of such a think. If it were true we'd all be doing it.
