What exactly do you mean by "educational insurance"? Is that some way for some "financial advisor" to talk you into buying their product??

you need to have a child first before you can buy an educational plan. As insurer will require the child to be the life assured and parents as the applicant. You can't buy an education plan without a child name.

if you are talking about starting an education fund now in preparation for a new born then it make sense. This is a concept selling, which tells you the earlier you start saving the more you can get. The power of compound interest.

It is all about the time horizon you have, the longer the timeline the lesser that you need to save to achieve the same amount. if you procastinate, the amount that you need to save per month will be more in order to achieve the same amount.

so the answer is yes, it is cheaper to start earlier. but you can't buy an education insurance without your child name.

Absolutely but is the company profitable? How does it benefits or affects inflation rate? mainly you need to make sure that the benefits doesn't change over the years. Also, if the company will even allow u to buy insurance for children that are not even born, weird.
