What are the frames called when you want prescription sunglasses?

my doctor told me the name of them, but i forgot. I know it started with optic... but then i can't remember the rest of the word. what i would like to do is buy the sunglass frames from someplace else so i can get my prescription filled. I just can't remember whats the name of the frames that are used for prescription sunglasses. thanks.

If you are purchasing them from some place OTHER than a doctor's office or other retail optical, you want to find frames that are ophthalmic quality. Some of them will say "Rx'able" on the tag or on the demo lenses.

Yes, the lenses can be replaced. But frames should be almost straight. I usually buy sunglasses and ask my doctor to replace the lenses. Though not all that I buy can be measured with prescription. Frames are usually curved are not fitted for prescription.
