Which is better, the Zyliss or Borner v-slicer/mandolin?
I'm about to buy one and the Zyliss has more cutting inserts for different thicknesses but the Borner has more attachments that can be purchased. Any thoughts?

I would go with the Borner one myself. If you have an Asian emporium near you, one that sells Oriental foodstuffs and the like, have a wee look there first. Out of all the mandolins I have ever used in my job, the best ones have cost around $4 from the local Chinese shop. Do your homework on it but if you've already narrowed it down, go with the Borner.
