Do you have Mozilla Thunderbird and would you recommend it over Microsoft Outlook or Windows Mail?

Mozilla Thunderbird is an excellent email client and has almost all features that other leading clients like Outlook, Eudora and Outlook Express have.
However, the reason I still stick to Outlook is that Thunderbird is not compatible with all antivirus applications. For instance, the incoming emails in Thunderbird cannot be scanned with Norton.
Also, the last version of Thunderbird that I tried did not have an integrated Calendar like Outlook does. One had to download a separate plugin.
If you don't use a Claendar in your email client or don't have Norton, Thunderbird is an excellent option.

Mozilla Thunderbird is a free email client with robust features. We can't compare Thunderbird with MS Outlook, which is highly advanced email application for versatile purpose.

Yes. Thunderbird is more secure than Microsoft Outlook or any other Microsoft email client. Outlook Express is not called Virus Express just for giggles. Although it is funny.

Yes I would, its security connection posibilities are better and its more stable than Outlook. Ex: I have a university mail adress, just won't send mails via Outlook but it will via Thunderbird. It is free and it is better.

Mozilla Thunderbird is my saviour. I can receive Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo and everything if I install Webmail (a plugin). I would definitely recommend it. It imports all your contacts from those programs too.

I and most of my clients are all using Thunderbird now, it has far better spam control and can handle far larger storage. It is also much faster when there are large numbers of stored emails.
