    The Country version on Desperado is by Linda Ronstat

    the original is by the Eagles ive never heard any other version

    these two versions are the most popular and earliest it may have been covered by other artists but not as good

    Garth Brooks and Clint Black....I even think Alisson Kraus has a version out!

    I just found somewhere that said Johnny Cash and Kenny Rogers also has covered the song!

    The Eagles were the original singers though!
