The owners of the house right next to the coaster were offered SEVERAL buyouts preceding the start of construction for well-more than the property was worth, but refused according to an anonymous source.

A friend of mine who lives in League City, who has been visiting the boardwalk regularly once a week, claims to have never, ever, ONCE seen these houses occupied.

And as it figures, the people who claim to be pissed off about this omit or exaggerate the facts that don't support their own statements.

From the Houston Chronicle article: "Building the roller coaster did not require any special permits from the city of Kemah, City Administrator Bill Kerber said. Since all setback requirements were met and the city has no zoning, a building permit for the coaster was issued without any variances. No public hearing was required to inform area residents."

    They have no case.

Yes i did but then again the homeowners were given a nice settlement to move and they refused so Its their own fault.

Well, if they built the structure on their property, I don't see a problem with it. It's there property to do what they want with it.
