what is the difference between a CMA and a CNA ,,,Can someone talk the test for the CNA without schooling?

cma is for office work, cna is for inpatient/nursing home. dont know what your state requires to take the test.

Do you mean Certified Nurse Aide and Certified Medication Aide? If so, a CNA's job is to check on the patients, make them comfortable, bathe them, etc etc, under the supervision of an RN. A CMA does what the CNA does, but with the ability to give medication. A CNA cannot give medication. CMA gets paid more(I think 2 or 3 dollars more; depending on the state). To be a CMA, you must already be a CNA, and be employed at the time.(at least for the state of TX)

No, you cannot skip directly to the test. You must have a certain amount of classroom hours AND clincal hours. If you go to take the test, they'll see you have no hands on experience and send you o the nearest school to take the course.

Some states allow taking the test without schooling. NC used to allow that. Check with the state medical board.
