Help Help Help,, i need the magnitude?

An airplane pilot sets a compass course due west and maintains an airspeed of 221 . After flying for a time of 0.49 , she finds herself over a town a distance 119 west and a distance 11 south of her starting point.

Find the magnitude of the wind velocity

as soon as possible

due date after 2 and a half hours :'(

    Ground displacement

    = time (plane's air velocity + wind velocity)

    wind velocity = displacement / time - planespeed

    They give you:

    displacement = <119W,11S>

    planespeed = <221W,0S>

    time = 0.49

    Plugnchug to get the components of the wind velocity

    Then use pythagorus to get its magnitude:

    windspeed = sqrt (vx^2 + vy^2)

    obvious value is how shiny the celeb look from the Earth. it is completely based on the celebs distance from Earth. The farther away the celeb is from Earth, the extra advantageous is obvious value (meaning evidently dimmer) and and the closer it is to Earth the lowers its obvious value (meaning its looks brighter. Absolute value is quite the plain value yet at a uncomplicated distance of 10 parsecs (30.26 gentle years) If each and every of the celebs have been placed at a distance of 30.26 gentle years from Earth, even nonetheless shiny they looked from that distance could be their absolute value. So quite its a uncomplicated way of evaluating celeb brightness. Our sunlight is the closest celeb to us, there fore it sort of feels very shiny to us, having an obvious value of roughly -26.seventy 4 (very shiny). however the actual brightness of a celeb is its absolute value because of the fact it measured from the comparable distance for all stars so there are no longer any variables different than for the celebs quite luminosity. Our suns absolute value (its obvious value at a distance of 10 parsecs) is 4.8, which notably dim. This is sensible too, by using sunlight strikes farther away style us, it gets dimmer, as a result have a extra physically powerful obvious value then it is whilst its closer.
