Some times I am with you 100% on this one. I know for a fact that often if there is a permit in the car it gets used by the whole family regardless of whether the disabled person is in the car, THAT makes me mad. But also, I have a sister with MD like me but she is still walking. She may look fine getting out of the car but more then a few blocks and she is exhausted and prone to falling (she often uses the scooters in t. Many people don't notice it unless they are around when she starts getting tired. So while I DO think that many people who shouldn't have one do (and no age is not a disability) I also know that there are those who have unseen issues that have them so judging is not something I want to do. I am in a powerchair and often have to park out in the outfield but I take up two spots so that I have the room I need and make sure my permit is in the window so others know why. That way no one parks too close. I am also thinking of getting stickers like I have seen other vans have that make it clear my van needs the extra room (that way if my ramp crashes down on their car, not my fault if they are parked where they shouldnt be) right now I just have pull out ATV ramps that hubby has to load up and unload but some day.... As for that restaurant...well the ramp should be accessible to ALL regardless of whether they drove or just wheeled up so that makes no sense to have it blocked by the parking spot (have seen it before though) I just try really hard to be grateful for what I do have. I am very blessed to have my wheelchair (there are many in this world that are dragging themselves around or totally dependant on someone else) and I am grateful I live in a place where ramps and access are the norm not the exception, where there ARE designated parking spaces and where I can usually find a bathroom and toilet I can get to. I am grateful for the ADA and all they do to help improve these things.

I am in Arizona, and it depends on the time of year.
In summer, it is Arizona plates, in winter it is every state from Washington to Florida.
