I have a motorola razr V3, how do i turn off the voice that speaks ...?

somehow when i was setting up the phone, something got turned on to where now every time i go to the phonebook, it speaks (or attempts to anyway) the name of the highlighted line in my phonebook... i have looked all through the phone and my manual and have yet to find how to turn it off... please help! it is driving me nuts!!!

Update:

well, i tried to follow the directions, but i didnt have those catagories on my phone... however, it did finally lead me to the place i needed to be... :)

if anyone else ever has this,

go to settings > others > voice guide > then disable :)

    menu> settings> personalize> sound settings> contacts entry:> then choose 'none' as opposed to 'voice' that should do it. good luck.

    P.S. thats with a moto V3c with U.S. Cellular as provider, couldnt find it on a cingular phone (V3).... EDIT** and actually after testing it myself, i couldnt get it to come on... so that might work for you, but might not.

    Razr's in basic terms kinda suck. I even have one, they are able to in basic terms carry a cost for like 10 hours, they smash depraved easyily. Take it down on your service and ask somebody whats up, perhaps you go with a clean battery or charger, perhaps its the telephone.
