It was a draw.
Tito Ortiz vs. Rashad Evans (205-pound limit)
Here we go! It’s Mania and I’m siked for this fight. Rashad is coming out. He looks pumped and ready. Ortiz makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos, traditional Mexican-American flag in tow. Let’s get down to bit-ness.
I’m so curious about this fight. For the first time in along time, right or wrong, I have zero idea who is going to come away victorious.
Round one: Tito comes out with a head kick, shoots and takes Rashad down. Rashad is stuffed up against the fence, working for position, but Rashad stands up. The two exchange blows, but Tito manages to get him up against the fence again. Big John breaks it up and washes out the mouthpiece of Rashad. Middle of the round is tentative — both fighters just feeling each other out. Tito goes for the takedown, Rashad stuffs it but is stuffed up against the cage. Rashad spins and reverses, now he has Tito up against the fence. Tito is cut under his right eye. Rashad counters with some nice takedown defense and the two head into the corners standing. I’ll give round one to Tito.
Round two: Round two and both fighters are swinging but not much is happening. Evans goes for a takedown but Tito sprawls and the two are back up trading. Tito goes for the clinch and the two are working for position — nice elbow by Ortix. Rashad goes for a single leg takedown but Ortiz resists. Rashad is bouncing but not doing much now in the stand up. Tito gets a SLOW takedown and mushes Rashad up against the fence — Ortiz eventually gets top position. Ortiz isn’t doing any real damages, Rashad reverses and takes Tito down. TIOT gets a point taken aways for grabbing the fence, but he’s unphased, he nearly submits Rashad with a TIGHT guillotine. Rashad is saved by the bell.
Round three: Two exchange to open up the round, Rashad isn’t doing much and gets pushed up against the fence. Evans works his way up and delivers some knees in the clinch. Tito is pushing the pace, but Rashad isn’t doing much. Tito looks a little winded, but Rashad isn’t doing much to captilalize. Rashad smells blood and is throwing haymakers to try and finish the fight — not happening. Rashad gets a BIG takedown in the waning seconds of the fight and drops some SERIOS elbows. Bell rings. Announcers, including Couture, are calling for a draw.

i think of rashad is speedier and smarter and because he's in Greg Jackson's wellbeing middle he might beat Tito's a$$ badly. Tito is nowhere close to particularly much as good as he was once. he's a has-been and that i will't wait til Tito will become the subsequent sinosic. he's a comedian tale who's morals and understand to each physique yet himself and his spouse is sh*t. different than for me liking Rashad greater helpful, i think of Rashad is a lot greater proficient than Tito ever exchange into. I purely sense undesirable that Rampage is going to conquer Rashad to a bloody pulp. pass Rampage.
