Somehow my AOL is setup to open automatically. I do not want it to open unless I click on it to open the program. How do I change this? Thank you!

go to start and click on run. should be on right side of start menu. after run pops up type in msconfig next to open and click ok. your system configuration utility should pop up. go to the last tab "startup". look at where it says startup item and look for anything with AOL and then uncheck it. then press ok and restart your computer. this should stop aol from starting up when u load ur computer. u can also remove any other programs u dont want to start right away if u want.

Run MSCONFIG (you'll do this via clicking on "RUN" from the START tab at the backside left hand part nook). Slick at the START UP tab. Under this tab you'll have all of the methods that run while you first begin your laptop. Many of them, you're generally now not conscious of. Scroll till you uncover America Online, and UNCHECK the little rectangular. Do now not uncheck whatever you do not know bout as this will motive you laptop to begin appropriately. Click APPLY and Restart your laptop. AOL is not going to begin after getting performed this. Hope it is helping.
