How do I stop AOL from opening automatically?

go to start and click on run. should be on right side of start menu. after run pops up type in msconfig next to open and click ok. your system configuration utility should pop up. go to the last tab "startup". look at where it says startup item and look for anything with AOL and then uncheck it. then press ok and restart your computer. this should stop aol from starting up when u load ur computer. u can also remove any other programs u dont want to start right away if u want.

Under this tab you'll have all of the methods that run while you first begin your laptop. Many of them, you're generally now not conscious of.
