Why is it that everytime I ask a question at Yahoo Answer....?

5 points deducted for asking question

3 points returned for chosing best answer to your question

2 points earned for answering question

10 points extra earned when anwser was chosen as best.

There is nothing wrong. This the rule that 5 points will be deducted for asking each question and 2 points will added for answering any question. If no Best Answer was selected by voters on your question 5 points will be returned back to you. For details about points you can refer to the following link -

you shouldn't be asking this question as you not a greenhorn here. You are at level 2 already.

Click your profile link above, and click BLUE total points link. It tell you how you get and NOT get points.

Additional to that if somebody report abuse to your question / answer, you got DEDUCT 11 points.

question / answer would be deleted too!

This is true, you get points deducted for asking questions & points added for answering questions.

thats because it cost you five points to ask a question..but you get three points back when you picka best answer
