"Paid in Full" for myself personally, I didn't bother with "Don't Sweat The Technique" I wasn't that impressed by "The Ledge" so I wouldn't know, I mean his best s* was on "Follow the Leader" I actually copped that one it was a solid release from start to finish. "Paid in Full" was a bit boring to me, but "Follow the Leader" was a classic record.

Lyrically Rakim outdid himself on"The 18th Letter". Personally I think where he was going being as aggressive spiritually on that record went over a lot of cats heads though. Listen, if anyone is suggesting that they are the best alive let them listen to those three I've suggested and see if they can come up with anything better, written or freestyle. I doubt many could that s* is timeless.

  • Paid in full was the best...I think Rakims lyrics were a little better in Follow the Leader, but I didn't like how there were several tracks that were just scratching (but damn eric b. was good at it) . Never was big on don't sweat the technique, but I do think that the that "know the ledge" song was great

Paid in Full, hands down has to be my all-time favorite Hip Hop album. The Deluxe Re-Mastered Version that came out a few years ago was an added bonus. Dope beats and Rakim's lyrics; does it get any better?

  • I have all their records/cds/tapes. Paid in Full was best by far. Consensus best hip hop record ever.

Next for me was Don't Sweat the Technique. I don't know how anyone cannot like Know the Ledge also from Juice soundtrack. Its crazy dope. "What's on your mind" smooth jazzy tune, "Rest Assured" uptempo great drum beats, "Casualties of war" hard hitting political lyrics. And of course the title track - gotta love the horns. This album had it all. I rate it top 20 of all time.

stick to the chief is in my real 20 well known Albums, so i'm going to pass with that. that is an Album i will pay attention to it non-end and could not bypass a unmarried song reason the entire album is Dope. do not Sweat the technique is my 2nd well known because of the reality Rakim gets greater aggressive together with his rhymes. Paid in finished is my third well known because of the reality this replaced into my first well known by using the duo yet i ended up Outplaying the album to the ingredient it have been given previous for me.
