best GIF animation program or editor?

I use "Microsoft Gif Animator" because it's free and very simple - but it might be *too* simple for what you're doing, as you have to paste in each frame and arrange it separately. It might be worth a look, though, and the program is very, very small (less than a megabyte if I'm not mistaken). Google it :)

Honeycam is a new GIF creator / editor which is very powerful and contains a lot of features and effects. It's definitely worth checking out.

I am no good at animations, but this program has truly helped. It does not except the flash .swf file, but it accepts importing multiple frames of most image types. It exports as .swf .gif .ani .cur .ico, almost any animation.

I created this via powerpoint saved images and then loaded them into the blaze prgm. The flashing text is actually an effect of Blaze.

If you want a really good program, you may want to use Fireworks. It handles and creates vector graphics very well and is an awesome tool to create gifs. It lets you control frame rate speed as well as transparencies and many other things. You can also create full websites with this as well. Good luck.

well when you go to save your animation, just save it as a .GIF
