whats this rattling? it only does it when i go like 70 and over and then it stops after a mile or 2?
it almost sounds like my engine is blown, but then it goes away.

The valves are making that noise put premium in the tank for a while and see what happens, I had a Ranger that did that and it cured the problem and slow down you will live longer. :-)

So your doing 70mph or something like 70mph?
I would need more information to give you better help, but it could be a heat shield rattling at certain speeds due to vibrations at only certain speeds. Are you sure it's engine noise and not suspension, or transmission related?

You have a natural frequency vibration in your car. Don't drive at that speed very long. Over or under and you'll be fine.

The structure will begin to vibrate uncontrollably when subjected to it's natural frequency, but it's a very small bandwidth - in your case around 70 mph.
