I third the fiftyfifty apple juice and water. My daughter's old pediatrician told us prune juice for her. It works, but the results are EXPLOSIVE and nasty. Her new pediatrician suggested apple juice and it's much gentler, however it is pretty acidic on a little system, so make sure to change the diapers quickly to avoid rashes. Also providing a link I dug up on the subject when my now five months little girl was having all her issues.

I have to agree that apple juice diluted with water is the best cure. Start with just a little bit because too much and your going to have up the back diahrrea which makes rashes and open sores. Start out with four ounces total if it doesn't work by bedtime give a little more. I have had three kids and all of them experience this when they first start getting foods and cereals or switching from breast milk to formula. If it persists within a couple days take the baby to the doctor. Try not to do meds without dr approval because they aren't made for babies, and that could make the immune system break down before it has a chance to build, it could also mean the baby will need stimulation everytime it has to go poop.

My 2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old son has a bowel condition. He sees a pediatric gastrointerologist a minimum of as quickly as a month. as quickly as all of us started with this he (the dr) sd attempt some easy Karo syrup in water. If that would not artwork attempt diluted prune juice. She needs to have some fiber in her foodstuff regimen extensive-unfold. Bananas are good yet they have an inclination to end u up. additionally the rice and oats cereal are binding too. make confident she is getting culmination and greens extensive-unfold. U may additionally use that new stuff referred to as benifiber. it truly is tasteless and u can placed it on or in something u want.

First, Talk to your pediatrician.
Ours told us to give baby 2 or 3 ounces of prune juice each day to 'keep things moving'.
Worked like a charm.
It's a less intrusive method than, suppositories, or manual stimulation (vaseline/thermometer) or laxatives as you may be advised by the people here.
Still, I advise you to speak to the pediatrician first.

One of the best natural laxatives for babies is apple juice. Start out mixing it 50/50 with water. If that doesn't work, go to 75/25, and then to 100% apple juice. If THAT doesn't work, then it's time to take your baby to his pediatrician.

Your baby may be getting too much iron (which happened to my little girl) try giving him water, like every few bottles or feeding give half milk then half water. Make sure to check with your perditrition just in case.

My baby had the same thing, if it happens offten then you need to see his pediatre to give you some help. Mine had a kind of mixture from natural plants, I gave him teaspoon 3 time a day and after its ok. Sometimes it depends on what he you gave him to eat.
