i need to figure out why laptop is not connecting to internet when i am using cat 5, LAN is not working! help!
i have always been able to connect while at my friends house with the cat 5, but now all of the sudden it is having issues and saying limited or no connectivity. i need some LAN trouble shooting please!!!

3 things could be happening -
1. you may need to re-install the network driver
2. the net port could be bad - which means you would have to buy a pcmcia net card
3. something might be screwed up - download winsock fix - run the software, restart the computer and that should fix it.

in case you want to play on LAN yet you do not understand a thank you to connect interior the direction of the internet, you should use a application referred to as Hamachi, otherwise if there isn't any internet in any respect, i don't think of there is LAN the two, sorry.
