Does anyone ever eat the end pieces of a loaf of bread?

eeew.... I hate the end pieces. My husband calls them cuppies. I think it is dutch for 'the ends of the bread' I think they are gross. The only good thing about not eating them is that they seem to keep the rest of the bread fresher. You don't have an exposed end to dry out in the bag. I throw them out if he does not eat them though. I hate them but they are kinda useful so I can't say death to all bread ends but I can talk bad about them when I am away from the breadbox. hee hee.

Yuck, I never do! When I first open the bag, I automatically lift up the end piece and pick what's underneath. Then, when the whole loaf is gone and only the other end is left, I throw them away. The ends are always dry and gross!

When only the end pieces of a loaf of bread are left over and when I am really hungry I do eat them. They do taste good with a smear of jam or black bean salsa.

I under no circumstances consume it, no person else interior the abode will the two. I continually would desire to throw the 1st and final piece interior the trash. possibly I would desire to feed it to the birds................On 2d theory possibly no longer. as a results of fact then i'm going to have a collection of pigeons putting around my door on a daily basis.

waste! you should be arrested! dont you know people are starving all over the world and you throw away food! Personally I like the end pieces, and usually toast them

I use the end pieces in french toast or throw them away. I know, I'm a waster. :( But otherwise they just get moldy. no one in my house will eat them.

I freeze them, and when I have enough for all of us, I'll make french toast. Those are the best pieces for french toast.

It's my favorite part! My nephew Kevin used to call them the "backs" ; )

i am with you on that. i don't eat them, but i don't like to waste food so i feed them to the birds.

I do and I do not believe in throwing away bread.
