What would be a good tattoo for me and my husband without getting our names?
I want something meaningful to both of us but if we ever got divorced,( and i hope we dont) we would be able to pass it off as something else.
i agree with you carrie fully i was asking to get ideas that i could elaborate on!! thanks for your input!

i agree with u 100% bout thinking about the future without doing anything that cud hamper that.
i was thinking the same as you a while ago..
then i thought bout a symbol that we both hold close to our heart.
ours arent done yet, but hopefully soon.
for example, since we have been together we bought a baby parrot that we both love to death, she is so attatched to both of us also.
thats gonna be something significant to both our lives..
its gonna be on the same place on our bodies, same size and angle.
ihope u find something great to.
also a symbol which means love is great, not necessarily chinese.
any language! be creative! good luck!!!!

I Would Go With No Tattoo At All But If Your gonna Get One Maybe get Your Wedding Rings Tattooed On Your Fingers Its Cool Looking It Shows Loves Forever And If You Do Get Divorced You Could Just Say its A ring

I thought it was always a cute idea to get the others zodiac sign. Its not a name and you can always play it off. Otherwise find something that you guys have on common and go from there or a special date or a special time. The time you had your first born, the time you guys were wed. The possibilities are endless.

you should get some kind of symbolic design that both of you appreciate and/or know. like an inside joke or an event that happened to you both but still has a great meaning for you
lets say you love the key west and you had your honeymoon there (idk im just making an example) you could get some kind of beach design such as an beach umbrella or swimsuits (you a one piece or bikini, him swimtrunks) just keep the same idea but maybe add different stuff to make it your own
that way it could still have meaning to you because you love the place and it can be easily be passed off as something that doesnt have to do with your honeymoon
just hypothetically speaking =) haha
hope this at least helps you brainstorm!

I have a tattoo on my upper back, with Initials for my sons and my wife. Even if we are not together, but in the history of my life she will always be part of it. A an initial own be that bad, you can always get something else added to it or get a tattoo over it to hide it.

A rose, symbol of love, life and eternity or some other flower.
Ying and a yang, you get one half and he gets the other or puzzle piece or design (ask the tattooist).
How about just a design, a tribal design or wings on your back.
How about your guys names in a different language.
Put your tattoo somewhere unexpected, like inside your lip or behind your ear.
How about a piercing together if you can't decide.

ummmm probably not a good idea. But if you insist, what about a favorite thing you both share? A place, object, n then get it made into a picture....
Or a heart, and he has one half, and you have the other, only his can be more masculine.

Planning for a divorce already? hmmm not good.
What ever it is ....make it small. Something you can cover up later. If you get a divorce you would want it covered up, because the memory is still going to be there.

my husband and i agreed we both wont get our names but we decided to get a moon tat cuz we actually had our first kiss during a full moon and it was such a wonderful night , we also enjoy Egyptian art . So your tattoos can be anything you both agree you love

This is really something for you and your husband to talk over, if its something you both want to get then you should talk idea's together, not with us here. It wont mean the same!
