Between the time you file bankruptcy and it is discharged by the judge you cannot get any kind of credit in your name...ie auto financing, credit cards, home loan, debt consolodation loan, ect. If you do the bankruptcy will be denied by the judge.

When I declared bankruptcy I opted to surrender my car becasue it was too expensive so then I had to have my dad finance a new car for me while I was in the bankruptcy...it was the only way to do it according to my lawyer because the judge would not sign off if I were to finance a new auto.
