what is a 1973 42' trojan motor yacht worth?

its a wood hull, dry docked in dec 06, has twin chrysler 440 engines that are 330hp each but original 1973 and overhauled 2 years ago. props are gone (stolen), has 12" by 6ft of teak wood damage on deck, new water heater, cold a/c.

the hull is 1/2 newly painted

    I can't give you an exact figure, go to a dealer you can trust with this info. In our area of Michigan on the "thumb" it really isn't worth much.

    With gas being what it is, this boat I'm sure is a guzzler at about what, two miles to the gallon, it would cost one fifty bucks every time you go into the harbor to just park for the week-end, this is what my son does with his boat, uses it as a cabin. No grass to cut.

    I would love to own it myself, I'm a boat lover but, as I say, the price of gas, the way this boat uses gas, it'll kill you. You'll have to have a lot of stock in a gas station. Sorry.

    With the maintenance of this boat, I would park it in a marina and use it as a cabin, live on it.

    leave it dry docked and forget it. there are more problems than we could list here. its a loser.
