Another possibility is that Toyota has nearly perfected the 4 cylinder engine. However, I have seen a few V6s with over 300,000 miles on them as well.

I have owned many of them and treat each one to an oil change every 3k miles and annual maintenance. They can go over 250k miles without any trouble so you should have at least 3-4 years left before buying a newer one. I get tired of them before they wear out (or get totaled, 5 times)

With enough TLC it can go for 300k. There is no limit for a car, just maintaining. It's just that after 200k it might be a hassle and not worth replacing and fixing things.
