Brad Penny for Jonathan Papelbon?
This is a 12 man league Yahoo Roto League
I have Brad Penny. I feel like he's going to have a 2nd half collapse based on his historical stats. Should I try and make a trade for Papelbon?
My other closers are
JJ Putz (Only true closer)
Alan Embree (about to lose his job)
Dan Wheeler (about to lose his job)
Brad Hennessey (useless)
My starters are
CC Sabathia
Chris Young
Josh Beckett
James Shields
Tim Lincecum
If not papelbon, what other 1 on 1 trades can I make for Pitchers?
Crap. I just got the offer pulled on me. Apparently his other closers went down and he only has papelbon now.
Who should I try to get Brad Penny for next then? Which other closer?

ok, if you can get papelbon, do the deal. I'd also think about moving shields.

Yes! Brad Penny is a 2nd half failure every year and you need a guy like Papelbon. I would suggest to drop Wheeler and pick up Okijima(SP) as insurance in case something happens to Papelbon.

If you can get Papelbon for Penny you should be ecstatic. I fully expect a collapse from Brad Penny while Pap should continue to be nothing but dominant. The only risk is his health but I would be willing to take that risk and jump all over that deal.

I would do that trade if you can. I think it is pretty fair trade. Do it while you can. People say Brad Penny is going to have a horrible second half of the season. I would also think of moving around James Shields.

do it while u still can. papelbon will be as close 2 perfect as can possibly happen (barring injury, but that's still a good risk), and it's true, penny is one of the worst 2nd half aces in the MLB.

I think you should do this trade. Fair for both sides. Your starting pitching core is good and u do need another closer to secure that position. Cut Hennessey now, like you said "useless". Drop him for LaRoche if he is available. I think he is starting to find his groove.
