This ones easy!
Love is a friend. Someone who cares and is always there. Love is support, both emotionally and mentally. Love is someone you can rely on, and who will even give you a kick in the butt when you need it! Love, basically, is a true friend and lover.
Like may mean that you are attracted to someone for looks, fame, or fortune. For example, If you like a celebrity you have never met, it is obviously not love. Have you ever seen a movie where people fall in love when they didnt know each other for at least a LITTLE while? Or more importantly, a real life relationship?

Both are the opposite of hate. One is milder than the other.
Both last about as long as the other. Both tend to be more than a little confusing.
