how come most dem.'s don't even know the name of the V.P.?

Better yet, How come only 38% of the country knows the name of the vp, but 78% can name the two people who were finalists in American Idol?

Because Bush has refused to release his real VP's name. He claims that information could jeopardize national security and has claimed it as Executive Priveledge. To protect it further he has tapped every ph in the US except private, direct lines into the RNC and granted their owners a $10 mil.

gov't contract to promise not to give out these Ph. #'s. because under the Patriot Act they are Top Secret. But its not that critical because if you do let Top Secret Info. he can always commute your sentence and may even Pardon you, as long as you're not one of the guys who really does know who the VP is and would have to tell the truth and appear if subpoened since the Pardon strips you of the 5th Amendment.

Besides, its unfair to expect Americans to know every politition. To make it realistic the Q should have been limited to naming only elected EXECUTIVE BRANCH officials

I have never meet a dem. who didn't know who the V.P. was. I think you need to research your sources. Unless you live in a very secluded place.
