Why can't I vote for 'Best Answer'?

"Voting" is not the same as "rating." You need to be on level 2 (or higher) with 250 or more points in order to give "thumbs up" and "thumbs down" which is rating.

"Rating" an answer has nothing to do with choosing a "best answer." It only affects the recipient if their answer is chosen as "best answer" then they get a bonus point for each "thumbs up" that people gave them.

Anybody can vote. Click "answer" in the toolbar at the top of the page then click on the "vote" tab. You earn 1 point for every question that you vote on. Like with the # of questions you can ask or answer per day, the # you can vote on per day is determined by what level you're on.

Voting helps choose a "best answer" where the asker didn't bother to choose one.

You need to be level 2

You have to get on to Level 2 (250 points). Its hard at first then you get it.

you have to ask a question then wait at least four hours. Then you will be able to pick an answer for "best"

It's based on how much testosterone/estrogen you have.... if you don't have enough, then they figure that you're a pansy and can't make informed decisions!!!
