Do not eat it raw. Pancetta is an Italian style bacon. You must cook it before you eat it. It is possible to get very sick from eating it raw. Especially if your pregnant why take a chance. Stick to something else.

Cook it, but not to long.
Its basically Italian Bacon but its not smoked, ao cook for a couple minutes in a frying pan.

Definitely cook it before eating! Pancetta is salt cured and spiced, but not smoked or cooked.

You need to cook it for sure - but not for long.... 2 minutes in the frying pan will do it.
