Do you think Dudley's wizardly powers will come out in Book 7?

Now that Dumbledore is dead, does his power over cloaking Dudley's magical powers dissolve and his powers come to light and save the world or certain people, even Harry? Remember, the date of birth is important to the prophecy: Neville, Harry, and Dudley were all born around the same time... and since we think he has relived some horrible memories from the Dementors attack...makes you wonder just what he does know...

Update:

I will check to see which book contains the conversation between DD and Aunt Petunia and the fact that DD stiffled Dudley's powers. Might be worth checking into Potions section of Rowling site to see about removal of protection/cloaking/ etc.

Interesting question in that the Ministry of Magic has never investigated anyone in relation to magical interventions in his (a muggle) life, or at least noting has been reported of any investigation. (Pigs tail, dementors, most notably; Harry and the snake, the magic toffee incident.)

    Hmmmm.

um, considering that only a Wizard can see the Dementors, and it was told that he felt cold and unhappy not that he seen them. I would think that Dudley is definitely not a Wizard. And what book was it said that Dumbledore cloaked Dudley's powers any way? I have read all of them several times and haven't seen it.

That's not true. That's just rumors about Dudley having powers, I've read that there is a fan-fiction about that, but I don't believe that Dudley is magical.

I don't think so. Death isn't a reason for a spell to disappear

i don't think that they will as the dursleys have made him think that even if he can do magic he wont want to!
