My AIM isnt working!!!!?

i have the old version (i like it better). is there anyway that i can get it to work again. its not starting up. i tried deleting it many times and downloading it again. not working. i deleted the program files. the whole shabang. i have windows vista which currently i hate! any help would be appreciated. Oh i have the latest old version so like 5.9 something.

    They may not be supporting that one anymore. I would run a check on it and see if the new one works. If it does, you know that is likely the problem. Sorry.
