Red Sox question - David Ortiz?

I just received a trade offer of Ortiz and Francoeur for A-Ram and Hideki Matsui. My other 2 3B's are A-Rod and M Cabrera and I have Dye heating up to back up Chopsui. I am already leading in all power categories, first place in overall and only have one 1B in Konerko.. My question is, did Ortiz die or something tonight? This is probably the best offer I have ever been sent. Do I click yes?

I would do this trade. Ortiz is going to heat up this second half, and francouer is a RBI machine. I see you don't need A-ram with the other 2 best 3b's in baseball.

Boston will be very busy this off season. They have some major decisions to make. Schilling is over the hill. Manny is a wack job!! Francona couldn't manage a checker board and the fact that the Blue Jays finished the season in front of the Sox has fans in an uproar. Ortiz did nothing the last half of the season starting with the 5 games sweep by the Yankees in August. That marked the beginning of the end for Boston. Ortiz (might) have some trade value but not nearly as much as he had before the 2006 season began. I think you're right, the Sox need new players starting with their pitching staff. Maybe they can get a couple of prospects for Ortiz but not much more.

Based on the facts that Big Papi is injured - the cause of his slump- and that my boy Frenchy has no concept of the strike zone I'd hold off on making that deal.

A-Ram is having a good year and I'm sure that there are teams out their willing to move a 1b to get an upgrade at 3b. Considering you've got 3 of the best 3b in the game.

Not to mention Matsui is swinging the bat well right now.

If you want a 1b to back up Konerko, why not move Matsui for Sexson? Or send A-Ram and Matsui to get Howard?

Or why not do a challenge trade. A-Rod straight up for Pujols.

    Yes.

Ortiz is way better then Matsui plus you dont need A-Ram since you have A-Rod and M-Cabrera.

Plus Francoeur is a solid pickup. I would click yes.

Well duh take it. And Watch out then. Ortiz does have a knee problem that he says has been hurting him this entire year so far. Even still he is gonna have a semi ortiz like year, and even that is good enough to take this trade. Your team seems like it has more power than it is worth.

Its not actually a fair trade, but hey you are getting the better end of the deal. I would take it

this is a no-brainer. take the trade before the dumbass who offered it takes it off the table.
