Home school parents; I would like to hear your opinion on the following inspirational video.?

I think it is beautiful. I've heard it before, someone had it in print form and read it to me. As far as it being just a marketing tool? Well maybe... but the inspirational tips and such are actually free, so that's okay with me.

(Whats beautiful is that homeschooling parents can go ahead and let their eagles soar, their squirrels climb, and their fish swim.)

That is the BEST indictment of the public school system I have ever seen. And it's TOTALLY TRUE, even of Parochial schools.

In Lutheran school at the age of 8 I wrote a book about the solar system and planets and going to them and I was told by the Art Festival Talent Judges it didn't Glorify God

Who created the planets. Who created the rings around Saturn. Did they think it was an ACCIDENT. Serepenipity!

I didn't GLORIFY GOD by writing about what God created OFF the Earth.

It tooke me 30 years to recover from that critical blow to an 8 year old mind.

And that came from a Religious school!

Do you know what it's like in Public School to answer a question about music symbols on the black board and say

That's a G- Clef

And have the teacher shout

"WRONG!" in front of eveyrone.

Go look it up. Yes, it's a Trebel Clef as SHE wanted to call it, but it's also the G-Clef and EVERY theory books says so!

"WRONG!"

That's what you say to a 10 year old!

A 10 year old who's mother was trained in a conservatory in Music and played professinally for 30 years.

You know how I felt after that!

You know for a short while it lowered my respect for my mother's intellegence.

This is what a CREDENTIALS MUSIC TEACHER WITH A BA IN MUSIC does to a 10 year old mind in a Chicago Public School!

I saw this for the first time about a year ago. I'm pretty indifferent to it. While I think it has beautiful photography and the point they're trying to make is a good one, I feel, especially as HS'ing parents, that we already know this about our kids and that's why they aren't in a B&M school.

In the end it doesn't tell me anything I don't know. I'm a mom of both a profoundly gifted child and a developmentally delayed child, and I appreciate both of their strengths and weaknesses and do my best to help both sides for both of them.

In the end, it's just a marketing tool ;-). "Sign up with your email to receive inspirational parenting messages"...or whatever it said.

Homeschooling is advantageous for some human beings, yet its no longer for each man or woman. in case you will get your son in touch with different young ones out of the domicile then he could have not have been given any problem. a pair of advantages with homeschooling is you get to instill concepts on your son whilst he has numerous versatile and freedom to learn. young ones develope in certainty who they're at a youthful age. in case you do no longer want the college to be shaping your son then its a good theory to homeschool in case you may. it quite is very genuine in case you reside around a foul college equipment. yet another determination is to homeschool him till junior intense or intense college. As a former homeschooler i think of it grow to be a good concept that i began out public college in junior intense. Its greater stable to be in activities, and get uncovered to each and all the extracurricular instructions in case your homeschooled too long. It's good and to the point ifyou can read fast . It could of been better if they used kids and real events to show the same thing the vido did

What a wonderful video. I think that they did not have to explain what it meant though. We all knew what it meant and it can have as many interpretations as viewers but it was so relevant in it's simplicity. Thank you for sharing.
