What's the name for cookies with cereal in them?
Do they have a specific name? I'm not talking about Rice Crispie squares, but instead cookies that have cereal mixed into the batter to give them crunch.
I had one of these in California and I've wanted to make them but have no clue what they would be called, if they have a name.
Thanks in advance.

no they are just called cereal cookies. Hears the recipie:
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine [1 stick]
1 egg
3 tbsp orange juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 - 2 cups of cereal. [ preferably frosted or plain flakes or cherrios.
decrease sugar by 1/4 or 1/2 if using a heavily sugar-coated
cereal.
if using a plain cereal such a plain corn or bran flakes], you mihgt want to add chopped pecans, walnuts, almonds, or raisins. Feel free to combine different cereals in one batch of cookies.
Directions
1. cream together sugar and butter.
2. beat eggs, orange juice, and vanilla extract.
3. combine flour and baking powder.
4. mix dry ingredients into the first mizture until well blended.
5. stir in cereal
6. drop onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for about 11 minutes
Makes 1 1/2 to 2 dozen cookies.
Enjoy!

the only thing I can think of is those no bake cookies that have oatmeal in them. Come to think of it, I think I did see a recipe once for cookies with Froot Loops in them a long time ago. Try the Kellogg's website for recipes.

I don't know if this is what you are talking about but I make oatmeal cookies and substitute one cup of the oatmeal with a cup of granola ( any kind). That makes them crunchy.
