I agree with kio, and would like to add this....you people who just slander and avoid the question totally dont even know what this guy did! it's possible his crime was not against a minor, or he got caught peeing behind a bush somewhere, or maybe he was 18 and his 'victim' was 17. What if this 'sex offender' was YOUR son, who made a mistake, went through treatment, did his time...but because of people like you, he can't live with his kids, and because of this, your grandkids are in a foster home probably getting molested by 10 different sets of foster parents. I've read and SEEN many cases where DSS removes a child from a perfectly good home, and puts them in a home where they are sexually abused over and over again.
It's come time that people need to look beyond the 'label' that our government has stamped on these people's foreheads and use some common sense. Not to mention this guy has probably been through treatment, done his time and a judge feels he's okay to live with his kids. I see so many ignorant answers here, its simply pathetic. If it happened the way many people here want it, he'd lose his kids...where are they going to go? Are any of you going to take them in? splitting up the family would probably do more harm than good. I swear, people need to wake up and smell the coffee because the way it's headed now...our constitution wont be worth the paper it is written on.

From the few answers posted to this question, None give any answer to the "myspace" and the supposed removal of "sex offenders". Instead, I read ignorance when it comes to the fact sex offenders have a family and children living in the same home as a "family"
From personal experience, after years of intense counseling, intense participation in every program from anger management to understanding the thoughts of children as they grow, my family was, with the blessing of all parties involved, became a whole family again. Needless to say, it took all of the family to readjust to being a family, a lot of questions and understanding how each felt.
We did overcome what had happened in the past, did know and was aware of the hurt and pain all members suffered, and the acknowledgment that they, my children did nothing wrong. One thing I was grateful for is there was no registry to destroy years worth of work as what is seen today. There was no further events, none. The children grew up in a family that had more understanding and trusting than most "normal" families do today. Ask yourself just how many "whole, loving" families do you know that are a family unit?
As for myspace, there should be no children under the age of 16, and that is stretching it, allowed. All this site has when Ir comes to children is simple, wanna-be adults pretending they have such an active social and sorry to say, sex life they post for the world to see. You hear that predators (not sex offenders, 2 different things) are constantly surfing the site looking for Young kids. Has it ever accured to you that these very same kids are leaving themselves wide open? Look at your kids myspace account and see for yourself just how easy it is for anyone to access their page. What is the content of their site? What photos have they posted? How about personal information about themselves? Sorry to say, most have made themselves out to be little slutty wanna be tramps. Thank the Lord this site did not exist when my children were growing up.
As it is, I worry about my grandchildren and hopefully their parents will forbid them to use it.
This is my simple answer to the question asked: No children should have a myspace account, if they do, must be highly monitored with a parental option to forbid access to myspace. As for the isp address, as far as I know, it is the name, not the isp they search for, I may be wrong and if so, I stand firmly with my answer above. You parents take responsibility when it comes to safe guarding your children, not big brother.

1. They shouldn't be with him at all.
2. Children shouldn't get a myspace, it's dangerous, why would they need one anyway? If they were teenagers then yes, this is unfair, but they can make one on another computer and then u can go on it on their own. Making one would be the only problem.

Wow, they shouldn't be near him alone. They won't allow that. If they want a myspace so bad just use a random address. It's not that hard.
