Bleeding between periods?

Does anyone know why I would be bleeding vaginally when i just finished my period 2 weeks ago? There isn't much (it's not another full period) but there is blood.

How old are you? It's common for a woman in her 30's or 40's to bleed irregularly. Perimenopause sets in about that time. This is caused from hormone fluctuations in the cycle. Mostly not enough progesterone is the main culprit. If your not this age it still could be hormones. Or possibly something that needs to get checked by a doctor. I don't mean to scare you but some venereal diseases and cancers can cause a woman to bleed irregularly. That is why I suggested that you go to doctor. I myself am having this alot but I'm 45 and perimenopausal. I went to doctor just to be sure it wasn't something else. The gynecologist did a pelvic, blood test, urinalysis and a biopsy of my uterine wall. I was kinda nervous waiting for the results, but not sorry that I had it done. Iv'e been very irregular for the last year or so. I'll have a normal period, then the next month I just spot at period time. Then usually repeat this pattern before I bleed everyday for a month very heavy. I was in the emergency room on IV's twice in May because of this. I was prescribed progesterone. It was suppose to make the bleeding stop. But I found out that I couldn't take it, as I form blood clots easily.I also have fibroids in my uterus and have for years so this is making life unbearable for me. I can't even work outside my home because of it. Doctor said I need a hysterectomy or ablation. My case is a severe case of menstrual irregularities. But your problem doesn't sound to bad. There is a website I go to alot for women problems its good help and advice from real gynecologists for women. They even have a questionaire to find out if your perimenopausal or menopausal. You can find it at www.women to women.com. Try it you might find it helpful. Good luck to you.

Are you under a great deal of stress? Are you taking the pill? Are you taking the pill at the same time each day? Are you over exercising, or dieting to the extreme? Any or all of these can lead to breakthrough bleeding. Have you seen your doctor?

This is called breakthrough bleeding, and it is totally normal to get. I get this sometimes, and my ob said that it can be because of the pill/birth control you are on, whether you take it at the same time every day/night, stress....basically many things can bring it on. If you are really concerned about it, discuss it with your own doctor, ob/gyn.

Uterine fibroids are usually not dangerous, but can cause immense discomfort and lead to complications like anemia from heavy blood loss. In rare cases, they may cause complications that affect pregnancy.

In cases where there are no symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. However, proper diagnosis and treatment may be required if your symptoms are severe or causing complications. Along with conventional treatment, you can try some natural home remedies. Read here https://tr.im/uhddK

Yeah! I was just about to ask the same question! I've always heard that spotting between periods is normal, but now that it's happening to me, I'm freaking out!

it would help to know your age and whether your on the birth control pill. when i was 16, my periods bacame irregular, my doctor put me on the pill. it fixed my problem.

however it could be a thyroid problem. i have hyperthyroidism. my periods are always irregular.

so it could just be a hormone thing.

    see your gynocologist.
