I have been using Depo-Provera (injection every three months) for about 10 years. I am not pregnant and haven't gotten that way, so it works!....the only side effect that has happened is weight gain.

Good Luck! I have to note that the safest is a condom, of course. It has NO side effects...but, they are yuckie and sometimes not so reliable!

Do you mean besides abstinence and sterilization?

    Probably an IUD or diaphragm.

The shots and patches have major long term side effects, I would avoid those. Pills have issues as well.

i'd say condoms. I advise which you do not even concider using the dep. injection, there are various web content you may discover that coach the risks of this and there are type action regulation suits in progression over this injection..
