I plan on taking a trip to Punta Cana this fall. Besides the resort activities what is there to do?

Resorts always have activities.

Four wheeels, horse back riding, tours outside, safari, tour to saona Island, etc.

Nightlife: there is a Hard Rock cafe now in Punta Cana, also a Montecristo Cafe, among other stuff, i think there is Tony roma's. those are all nice places.

All hotels have a Disco, but if you are looking for the top places, go to Areito disco and Mangu disco club. both discos admit people from outside the hotels, and you can drink and dance all night.

the only inconvenience is that everything is far from hotels, you cant walk outside, you need to take a taxi, but you'll have lots of fun

Resorts have activities going on almost all day but there are plenty of activities outside the resort that are fantastic. See your resort rep. Here are a few:

Monster truck safari

Speed boats

Helicopter ride

Horse back riding

Golf

Discos

Fishing

One of my favorites:snorkel trip where you swim with sting rays and nurse sharks. Boat ride is on a glass bottom boat.

Party boats

Swim with dolphins

I've been there over 20 x, and I've never stayed in a resort. I didn't think there was anything to do in those places.

Go to Sosua/Cabarete or Boca Chica if you want to be on the Caribbean Sea and just stay in some small hotel. AI's are horrible, horrible places. They even make you wear like a hospital tag so that everyone knows you are an easy target for whatever.

Punta Cana nothing to do outside next town 38 miles away!!!

What types of things do you like to do? Then you can pick a resort that has all of the activities that interest you. Most activities are included in your price if you go with an all inclusive resort.
