How can I stop a hacker from using my email to send spam?

the email you got to notify of you of that might be spam itself

First thing I would do is change your password

and never EVER click on a link you get from an email

If you get an email from a website which you have an account

Always go to your browser and then go to the site..never log in from the email link

Email spoofing will always be possible, I'm afraid. Change your email address or password or 'live with it'. The best thing you can do is stop using the popular free email accounts that spammers know how to spoof, etc.

Try changing password,if that does't work set up another Email account altogether and see if that works

you cant, just change your password incase they really do have access to your email.

Even without access to anyones password or account, anyone can send an email from any email address, its a flaw in the emailing system. I used to play around with this, sending emails from "thepope@vatican.org". you just need an unsecure mail server which isn't hard to come by, nearly every ISP has one.

You have a virus on your pc

I recommend you download everything on this list as i was had a virus that would not allow me to download any of these programs. It knew i wanted to get rid of it so it didn't let me. It is best to have as much protection as possible, even if you do not always use it. I also recommend you try and run these programs at least once a week, Except for the last step which can be done every month or two, or if you have download a lot of stuff on your pc. 6. You also need to get CCleaner this is great and will help your systum run like new.

run the program, you should be able to rick click on your recycle bin and open the program there.

run cleaner, then click

on issues button, scan for issues, fix selected issues, i don't save them you can if you like.

7. Finally we are almost done you will want to leave your computer running over night for this it will take several hours to complete.

Defrag your system.

click Start, click on My Computer, right click on local disk C, click on Properties, click on Tools tab, click on Defragment Now, click on Defragment.

now leave the computer alone and restart in the morning.

You should now have a computer that runs like new.

or you can call a technician to come out and remove the virus, but it is gonna cost you.

They aren't exactly using YOUR e-mail to SEND anything. They are spoofing their return address to make it look like it originated from your e-mail address. At the present time there is no technological solution to the problem.

just make a new account.. that's probably the best and easiest thing to do.. reporting won't really help because they don't really review our complaints...

change the password, or create a new email account with strong password protect it.

i would go through and change ALL my passwords to see if they can still send it. If they can, deleate your account and open a new one
